The restless girls is a retelling of one of my favorite fairy tales: The twelve dancing princesses. Instead of their beauty, the sisters excel at different abilities. Each was encouraged to pursue their enjoyment by their mother, who had her own way of living and hobbies! These twelve sisters are a wonderful force of nature.

 

Burton is known to tell stories with ease and her use of words paint pictures of worlds unknown or past.

Illustrated by Angela Barrett, the art meets the prose of the author.
