I've been reading a lot of non-fiction lately - most fiction has not been able to hold my attention. That this work of historical fiction was based on the life of a real person, kept my focus for the entire work. Lale's story is one I have not heard before. This book would appeal to those who read The Nightingale, The Book Thief, and All the Light We Cannot See.
