Enoch is back - funnier, punnier, and romantic as ever!

I love Enoch's punny titles and just like her previous entries (please see her Scandalous Highlanders series), this one was no empty threat - there was a humorous and touching story beneath the cover.

I think what I liked most about this book were the small ways in which Enoch tweaked the plot so that although it followed a familiar story arc, the twists and turns in the actual journey were surprising and interesting. There were many pivotal moments, where I turned a corner expecting one thing and was treated with something slightly different that was far more satisfying. In a genre where plots and devices are churned round over and over (although we still love them), these challenges to my expectations were delightful.

Brimming with memorable and engaging characters, this was a great first entry for this new series and I look forward to future installments.
