Face Yourself

You’ll dance and maybe cry but all of it’s good

This is by far my favorite Japanese album by South Korean pop/hip-hop sensation BTS. When they teased the album with “Don’t Leave Me”, I’d never hit pre-order so fast in my life and the album did not disappoint. Many of the tracks are translated from their recent Korean album, Love Yourself: Her. For those new to BTS, the style is pop/hip-hop/EDM, with a wide variance of influences. Their vibe is eager, honest, and introspective – with a generous helping of fun thrown in. The new, exclusive (not previously released in Korean) songs are where this album really shines. They have a fresh feel that I think is distinct from their other albums. I challenge anyone to listen to “Let Go” and not get feels.
