Parks and Recreation

Political satire set in a small quirky town

If there is one show that I can watch over and over and never get tired, it is Parks and Recreation. It is a political satire about a quirky set of people in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. The show is centered on over-achieving mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Rec Department, Leslie Knope. It pokes fun at and celebrates small town life. It is laugh out loud funny and oddly relatable. I can often be heard saying "this is just like that episode of Parks and Rec when..." I am a big fan of The Office (which is created by the same people) and this has the same sense of humor and tone. If you like the Office or quirky political satire, then check out Parks and Rec.
