Looking for a relaxing, go back in time, quick read historical YA novel?  Do you enjoy visiting historical homes in the US?  Think presidential homes!  Sarah Tracy did indeed meet Upton Herbert in 1861 when the two of them were thrown together to manage the home of the Father of our Country, George Washington.  The two of them lived together (without being married….shocking!) to manage George Washington’s house on behalf of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association.  This ladies group was the first national historic preservation organization in the United States and set the standard for future historical organizations.  The story was an amazingly quick read, with historical notes included.  Seriously better than watching Law & Order on a quiet night!
