Terminal Alliance is Jim C. Hines first foray into Science Fiction, and boy is it a great start. It is reminiscent of pulp SciFi classics in the way it describes the wild array of alien life, but it also is full of Jim's trademark humor. Be prepared for loads of (literal) toilet humor and interesting solutions to problems using the systems that sanitation workers maintain. It is a fun time, and I can't wait for the next book.
