Adaptation

It seems to me that Nicolas Cage is at his finest when he is playing neurotic, unique characters that are slightly off-kilter.  In Charlie Kaufman's Adaptation, Cage is right on the money playing a twisty-turny writer with a convoluted personal life.  Like all of Charlie Kaufman's movies, Adaptation is a side splitting movie that will challenge you mentally!  For other kooky Cage movies try The Weatherman, Lord of War, and Matchstick Men.
