Sandra Boynton is best known for her books for very young children, many of which are a song in themselves. Think Barnyard Dance, Pajama Time, and Moo, Baa, La, La, La!
Boynton wrote all the songs on Frog Trouble and found lots of great folks to perform them. Some of my favorite tracks are Dwight Yoakam on the joyful "I've Got a Dog," the melancholy "End of a Summer Storm" sung by Allison Kraus, and a silly Josh Turner's "Alligator Stroll."
The whole album is family music at its best.
