Lion vs Rabbit

Rabbits have been depicted as trickster characters in children's literature for quite some time, and in this fresh take by Alex Latimer, Rabbit lives up to the reputation by taking on a bully Lion and teaching him a good lesson! The fun comes from how Rabbit tricks Lion, and it kept me guessing right to the end. The text flows well and lends itself easily to being read aloud. The illustrations, also by Alex Latimer, are cute, colorful and and really add to the enjoyable story. Couple this fun tale with Llama Llama and the Bully Goat by Anna Dewdney or Bully by Laura Vaccaro Seeger for an empowering and important lesson!
