King Arthur's knights are bored and restless after having defeated all of Camelot's enemies, so the most braggadocious of the Roundtable warriors - Sir Erec - is given a new challenge by the wizard Merlin: pit yourself against prehistoric dinosaurs! Joined by scholarly Sir Hector, gruff Sir Bors and his squire, and the fierce Black Knight, Erec goes to war.

There's plenty of smashing and bashing in this story, as well as funny hijinks involving the unevenly gifted knights. Matt Phelan's dynamic black-and-white illustrations add to the sense of adventure and, when looked at in retrospect, provide the reader with clues to a major plot twist.
