Enter the wonderful world of toy & movable books

The subtitle best describes this book: “Explore the world of trains inside and out with loads of flaps to lift.” This is the first time that I had the opportunity to review a title that is cataloged as a Toy & Movable Book.  This classification is designated by the Library of Congress for “books that contain text or illustrations that can be moved or manipulated, more than in the turning of an ordinary page.”  It also includes books that are 3-D, glow-in-the-dark, light-up, pop-up, puzzles, scented, or have sound panels.
I absolutely love trains, whether it’s Amtrak, urban subways, elevated trains, or light rail.  This children’s book is wonderfully illustrated and is full of amazing facts and oddities about rail travel, many of which are hidden under flaps or pull-out pages throughout.  I think it would be an enjoyable book for train enthusiasts of all ages.
