Jane is the perfect woman for a man like Steven - insecure, shy, easily controlled - so it’s no wonder that he is drawn to her almost immediately. Unfortunately for Steven, the real Jane is much more ruthless and focused than she pretends. Determined to exact revenge for her best friend’s death, Jane works her way into Steven’s life in order to rip it apart at the seams.
This was possibly the most satisfying thriller I’ve read this year. I loved getting into Jane’s head for the span of the book, and honestly, I hope to someday gain her level of confidence and self-worth in the real world.
