When the Lynburn family returns to Sorry-on-the-Vale, Kami Glass is determined to uncover the family’s secret history with the town. Easier said than done, of course, especially when the two Lynburn sons come into the picture, one of whom seems strangely familiar.

This trilogy is a delightful, modern take on gothic fiction. Sarah Rees Brennan writes with a snarky and quick-witted tone and has made sure to include a diverse cast of main and supporting characters. Also, it contains one of my favorite characters, Angela, who embodies everything I want to be in life.
