When there has been harm, whose voices matter?

This is a documentary about the effort in Maine to reconcile all that has happened to the four local tribes of American Indians. Observing the process of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was enlightening and led me examine my own beliefs and humility. This is history that I was not taught and this film resulted in me learning, deeper compassion and further understanding of the acts that have taken place and continue to affect Native American people in our country. The film won a national Emmy® Award for Outstanding Research in 2019 and made the American Library Association’s list of 2020 Notable Videos for Adults: “a list of 15 outstanding films released on video within the past two years.” Those that liked Harriet, News of The World or The Central Park Five would like this one.
