Like Magic Tree House with hi-tech gadgets!

Four modern-day tweens are brought together by an eccentric tech billionaire who sends them back in time to photograph President Lincoln as he delivers the Gettysburg Address.  But a simple keystroke error delivers the kids one day early, so they have to rely on their wits to find food and shelter – and not get into trouble - in a surprisingly different world that is 1863 Pennsylvania.

Dan Gutman is a wildly popular author among the elementary school set.  I don’t know how many million copies of his My Weird School Days series have been sold, but I do know we can barely keep them on our shelves.  Gutman’s style is breezy, funny, and fast-moving, and he has a talent for working real facts about science and history into all the action.

This is the first book in Gutman’s new Flashback Four series, and it should appeal to readers of Magic Tree House, John Scieszka’s Time Warp Trio, or the more recent Ranger in Time, the time-travel adventures of a brainy golden retriever.
