The Airport Book

Even though The Airport Book is technically one of those books for young children that explains how something in the world works, it anything but dry. In fact, children will enjoy reading it again and again. So much in airports is intriguing to children: airplanes, moving sidewalks, all those little shops. This book also includes a story involving a stuffed monkey and is a delightful example of everyday diversity. It reflects what children would actually see at a large airport and is a nice update to all those books about airports written pre-9/11 that don't even mention security. You'll find something new in the detailed illustrations with every reading. This picture book is just right.
