Earth Warrior: Light of our Ancestors

Captivating!

I always use music as part of my storytimes, and a couple of weeks ago, on a whim, I put this CD into the player while I set up my books and craft materials.  I wasn’t expecting much beyond inoffensive background music that was a little different from the folkie CDs I usually gravitate towards.    Boy, was I wrong!  Though Earth Warrior is certainly inoffensive, it’s by no means bland or forgettable.  I was enchanted by Duncan’s mastery of the Native American flute, and his ability to make a selection sound soothing, puckish, and mystical, all within a few notes.  The second time I finished listening to the opening piece, "Zuni Sunrise", I was sure of one thing: that if a sunrise were audible, it would sound like this.
