More Baths, Less Talking

There’s something vaguely perverse about reading a book about someone else reading books, which inevitably leads to an even longer list of books that you want to read. If you have similar inclinations, you’ll enjoy this collection of Nick Hornby’s columns from The Believer. Hornby (author of About A Boy and High Fidelity) is breezy and conversational, self-deprecating and endlessly interested in the world, and he, like the rest of us, is just trying to chip away at the never-ending pile of books on the nightstand, many of which he tells you about here. The book clocks in at a modest 135 pages, leaving you more time for your other reading.
