CADL Gets Ready for a Universe of Stories, Events and More.

Capital Area District Libraries Summer Reading begins on June 10! This year’s theme - A Universe of Stories - is focused on space.

You may need a CADL card to join the challenge, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss the fun. You don’t need to be a CADL member to attend any of our libraries’ events!

At CADL Holt-Delhi, we have huge variety of programs. Every Monday we’ll host STEAM programming with a space theme. Beginning on June 26, we’ll host a weekly Wednesday performer: Performers include magicians, animal visits, storytellers, theatre groups, and a meeting with the Lansing Ignite professional soccer team.

Older children and teens can continue to enjoy our videogame nights, Anime & Manga club, CADL Adventurers RPG club, and Minecraft nights. We’re also launching our new Teen Online Book Club, a Sci-Fi Fandom Party and a space-themed escape room. They can even build their own rocket with Longway Planetarium.

Adults can look forward to monthly craft nights, a bi-monthly knitting and crochet group, and gardening classes. If you want to take a lunch-time walk and talk about what you’re currently reading, join the RAM Trails Walkers on the 4th Tuesday of the month this summer. These programs will run in addition to our ongoing nonfiction book group, fiction book group, and computer/technology classes.

Certain events require registration. Visit the events section of the website, or come visit us at the Holt-Delhi Branch for our newsletter.Capital Area District Libraries’ Holt-Delhi branch is located at 2078 Aurelius Road in Holt. For more information, call 517-694-9351.
