Put a Spring in Your Step When You Check Out a Fun Dance Video from CADL!

If you are anything like me, the advent of warm weather and sunlight has made you more energetic than you were even a month ago. The best thing about this weather, though, is that it makes it so much easier to dance, an activity I personally love. Now, spectators might disagree as to the quality of my dancing, but the important thing is that I am having fun.

The library might seem an odd place to go for dance lessons, but we have so much here for the aspiring dancer in your heart! From ballet to swing to belly dance, Capital Area District Libraries offers all kinds of instructional videos for check out, either on DVD or through our digital download service.

If you’re more interested in the history of the art, we have biographies on famous and influential figures, such as Raven Wilkinson, Maria Tallchief or Misty Copeland.

And if you really want to get out of your comfort zone and try something new, stop by the CADL South Lansing on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. We’ll be having a workshop on modern Indian dance, taught by the dancers of local group BollySway! All ages are welcome. Find a list of all spring events under the Events tab.
