Meet the author of this Michigan Notable Book Award-winning title at CADL Leslie on Friday, April 26.

It’s springtime again and there is no better way to celebrate the warmer weather than by attending two fantastic author visits at Capital Area District Libraries’ Leslie branch.

Lee Zacharias, author of “Across the Great Lake,” will visit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, for an evening of first-rate storytelling, book signing and a Q & A. Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win an Amazon Fire!

This visit is part of the Library of Michigan’s 2019 “Michigan Notable Authors Tour.” The 24 authors whose books were selected as 2019 Michigan Notable titles will visit 50 libraries throughout the state. The Michigan Notable Books program and tour are made possible thanks to the generous support of the Library of Michigan, the Library of Michigan Foundation, Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Humanities, Meijer, and the Michigan Center for the Book. Media Sponsors are Mittenlit.com, City Pulse, Queue Advertising and Tom Gennara Photography.

Next month, the Friends of the Leslie Library will host a visit from author Judy Gail Krasnow at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. Krasnow will discuss some intriguing local history from her book, “Jacktown: History and Hard Times at Michigan’s First State Prison.”
