CADL Dansville to Host Holiday Open House

Mom and child with reindeerWith the busy holiday season upon us, I encourage you to add Capital Area District Libraries to your to-do list.  Enjoy the fellowship of family and friends at CADL Dansville’s Holiday Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 6-7:30 p.m. There’s plenty of parking and space at Dansville Village Hall—you can enjoy refreshments, holiday crafts, and meet Santa and his reindeer.

Anyone shopping for electronics and other big ticket items will find product reviews and comparisons in Consumer Reports online. At cadl.org, or on the mobile app, select the Research & Learn tab and click on  ‘Consumer Information.’

CADL’s collection of holiday movies and music can enhance your enjoyment of the season, whether you find yourself driving to Grandma’s, baking cookies, wrapping gifts, or hosting gatherings.

A wide selection of classic and contemporary favorites are available on our shelves, or you can access digital content through our hoopla, OverDrive and Kanopy services. I’ve been enjoying the selection of NPR holiday pieces such as Tinsel Tales, available through hoopla. Don’t forget to check the calendar at cadl.org/events for a complete listing of holiday events, including Gingerbread House decorating on Dec. 15 from 11 a.m.–12 p.m.  We’re also hosting a movie afternoon and other activities over school winter break.
