Boys, Girls and Other Hazardous Materials by Rosalind Wiseman
When does trying to fit in go too far?
Charlotte Healey, Charlie to her friends, switches from her old school district to a new one in hopes of a drama free freshman year. She begins to make new friends, and has every reason to hope that this year will be much better than last. When she reconnects with an old friend named Will, who wants to be a star lacrosse player, Charlie finds herself getting pulled further and further into the type of drama she wants to avoid. After a hazing prank goes too far, Charlie must ask herself at what point can she continue to remain separate from the situation, and at what point does she need to step in and do the right thing?
