Steamed is paranormal and contemporary romance author Katie MacAlister’s foray into the steampunk subgenre. She introduces Jack Fletcher, a modern day nanoelectrical engineer who, after an accident in his lab with his clueless sister, wakes up in the cargo hold of an Airship under the first solo command of Captain Octavia Pye of the Airship Corps of the Empire of the British Isles and Prussia. Needless to say stowaways aren't acceptable in the Corps and spies are plentiful but Octavia has secrets that make her slightly more amenable to Jack's outlandish story. Add in a steamy attraction, Jack's sister's total denial of their situation, and Octavia's 3 high-placed ex-lovers and much confusion ensues.
