The Morgue and Me by John C. Ford

The summer after he graduates from high school, Christopher Newell finds himself working as a janitor at the local morgue. He doesn’t mind the job: sure, it’s a little creepy, but it’s easy and doesn’t take up too much of his time. Everything goes smoothly, until he discovers a cover up involving a body, thousands of dollars in cash, and possibly local law enforcement.
