The American Library Association notes that every year hundreds of attempts are made to remove books from public and school libraries. Here’s a list of popular titles giving the title, author, reason given for challenge and year challenged or an indicator that it was on the 100 most frequently challenged books: 2000-2009 list (Top 100).
