All of the titles on our award winners lists have been recognized as an outstanding accomplishment in literature

Book Awards Adult and Genre

• Fiction ALA Notable Books - Titles selected by The Notable Books Council of the Reference and User Services Association, a division of the American Library Association.
• Nonfiction ALA Notable Books - Titles selected by The Notable Books Council of the Reference and User Services Association, a division of the American Library Association.
• ALA Black Caucus Selections - The awards recognize excellence in adult fiction and nonfiction by African American authors.
• Christy Awards - A Christian fiction award to recognize novelists and novels of excellence in half a dozen genres of Christian fiction.
• Hugo - The Hugo Award, also known as the Science Fiction Achievement Award, is determined by nominations from and a popular vote of the membership of WSFS.
• Edgar - The Mystery Writers of America give these awards to honor the best in mystery fiction and nonfiction produced the previous year. The awards began in 1954 and are named in honor of Edgar Allan Poe.
• Nebula - The Nebula Awards are administered, voted and presented by the Science Fiction Writers of America (SFWA) to acknowledge excellence in science fiction writing.
• National Book Awards for Fiction - The National Book Foundation raises the cultural appreciation of great writing in America through The National Book Awards. The NBF recognizes books of exceptional merit written by Americans.
• National Book Awards for Nonfiction - The National Book Foundation raises the cultural appreciation of great writing in America through The National Book Awards. The NBF recognizes books of exceptional merit written by Americans.
• National Book Awards for Poetry - The National Book Foundation raises the cultural appreciation of great writing in America through The National Book Awards. The NBF recognizes books of exceptional merit written by Americans.

• Coretta Scott King Awards - The Coretta Scott King Author Award is presented to an author of African descent whose inspirational books best promote an appreciation of the American Dream.
• Caldecott Medal - The Caldecott goes to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
• National Book Award for Young People‘s Literature - Recognizes outstanding contributions to children's literature.
• Newbery Medal - The Newbery goes to the author of the most distinguished American novel for children.
• Printz Awards - This annual award is presented to the author of a book that best exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature.
