Warren Holmes Architect

Few 20th century architects had a greater impact on the look of modern Lansing than Warren Holmes. Born in Howell in 1885 he worked in construction before attending the University of Michigan. Upon graduation he spent a decade in Chicago, employed mostly with institutional commissions. Returning to Michigan he opened his own firm in 1920 and is primarily known for his many school designs. He passed in 1950.
