Lansing's Historic Fires

The Morris Historical Collection

Find out more about the Morris Historical Collection. Donated to the Mason Library in 2006 by Eugene G. Wanger in memory of the donor’s father-in-law, Leslie Dana Morris and mother-in-law, Mabel Rebecca Morris.

Forgotten Automakers

When you think of Lansing and cars, Oldsmobile and REO immediately come to mind. If you are an automobile history buff you may know that Durant also produced cars in Lansing. But did you know that in the infancy of the auto industry, several other manufacturers built cars and trucks in Lansing?

This is the story of these forgotten auto manufacturers. Much of the history of these companies is now lost. It is hoped that these pages will aid in the discovery of more information on this fascinating subject.
