Lansing Civil Defense Corps Photograph Collection
This collection documents Lansing's participation with the Office of Civil Defense during WW2. Most images were taken by OCD officers with the bulk shot in 1942. These photos are of staged events. The purpose was to rally support and build community awareness. This collection was salvaged by Lansing Mayor Terry J. McKane and donated to the Local History Collection on May 9, 1989. The images are arranged in 10 series by subject.
