Ask the Librarian is an e-mail reference service to provide answers to questions that can be answered with short, factual responses. You will receive a response within 24 hours whenever possible.

If you have a question about items you returned to the library or about your account, please contact Circulation at your local library.

What We Can Do

Answer simple, factual questions:

  • Who was… ?
  • When did… ?
  • What is the address of… ?
  • When does the book discussion group meet?

Refer you to other resources:

  • Websites
  • Other libraries
  • Relevant organizations

What We Cannot Do

  • Lengthy research
  • Complex questions requiring interpretation or analysis
  • Homework assignments
  • Answer genealogical, legal, medical and tax inquiries or give financial advice
