Conceptual Design

Library Design Workshops in April gathered community input for these conceptual design strategies by Penchansky Whisler Architects: Mason Conceptual Design.

Summary

The Mason Library is anticipated to be a new one-story building of approximately 17,000 square feet to be located on a site to be determined of approximately 2.3 to 3.4 acres in size in Mason. A smaller site may be able to accommodate the new library contingent on parcel shape, zoning, potential for shared parking, and other site constraints. The City of Mason has been studying alternatives for providing expanded facilities for city hall, police, and possibly a new library on the current city hall site. New furnishings and equipment are anticipated. Site development is anticipated to include 57 parking spaces on site for staff and patron use.
